The programme requires a minimum of 1 adult to every 5 students in the water. It is essential that parents and teachers bring their togs and be prepared to get wet. It is a good idea for parent helpers to bring wet suits if they have them.
Attached to this email is a Beach Ed Supervision Template for you to complete and take to Beach Ed. This is a system that ensures parent helpers are actively involved in the supervision of students while at Beach Ed.
It breaks the students into groups of five which allows a parent helper to keep an eye on a smaller number of kids. This helps our instructors with safety and management.First Aidwe also ask that each group designates (if possible) a suitably qualified parent or teacher to be responsible for minor first aid situations so that our instructors are not distracted from their teaching unnecessarily. Of course, our qualified instructors will immediately attend to any first aid of an urgent or serious nature.Paying for Beach EducationInvoices will be raised 2 weeks prior to your beach education booking. The school will be invoiced according to how many students you booked onto the Beach Ed programme. If the final number of students attending is greater than the booked number a second invoice will be raised for the additional students.
CancellationsDue to missed opportunities for other schools we have a strict cancellation policy. If your booking is cancelled within 3 weeks of your booking date 50% of the total bill will be invoiced, this will be based on the number of students specified in the booking details of this document.
