Our combined education programme, provides a fantastic opportunity for students to:
• Learn about climate change and how to lower our carbon footprint.
• Explore ways to become more adaptable to a changing climate.
• Participate in actions to build climate change resilience.
Field Trip:
Ourfield trip to Waihi Beach is a full day experience in the dunes. Students will arrive at the
planting site andwill be given an introductionto the area and health and safety briefing. The
group will then be split into smaller groups and will rotate through activities with our facilitators focused on weed control, dune planting and fun learning games.

Students, teachers and parents on the field trip will need to bring:
• A water bottle, morning tea and lunch
• A light school bag to carry your things in (don’t bring any heavy books with you)
• Good, covered walking shoes (sneakers, tramping boots or gumboots)
• Warm clothes and a raincoat (if rain is forecast)
• A hat and sunscreen
